Allied Waste Reaches Agreement Over Mass. Landfill Access

Scottsdale, Ariz. — According to a report on CBS.Marketwatch.com, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Allied Waste Industries "has settled with the Justice Department over an alleged violation of a 2000 consent decree tied to the company’s buy of Browning-Ferris Industries." The report says that "the company will give ash and bypass waste disposal rights at a Fall River, Mass., landfill to an incinerator owned by American Ref-Fuel."
