Caterpillar to Meet EPA Emission Guidelines

Peoria, Ill. – Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) has reaffirmed that it will meet the 2007 Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) emission standards for on-highway truck and bus engines. The company is crediting new technology with its ability to meet the standards without "sacrificing fuel, economy, reliability or durability." CAT made the announcement at the American Trucking Associations’ Technology and Maintenance Council meeting in Florida, with EPA Administrator Mike Leavitt in attendance.
