E.L. Harvey & Sons, Westborough, Mass., has broken ground on its new $20 million recycling complex in Hopkinton, Mass., which includes a material resource recovery facility along with a construction and demolition debris recycling facility.

Since the late ‘90s, the company had struggled to get permits for the new facility, including the rezoning of the land from agricultural to industrial. “Although at times we occasionally got a little discouraged, at no time did any of our 225 employees complain about the time and money being spent for this permit,” said Jim Harvey, CEO of E.L. Harvey & Sons, in a press release. “Their support inspired us to stay the course.”
