Washington, D.C. -- Last Friday, Nevada Republican Governor Kenny Guinn signed a veto of President George W. Bush's endorsement to bury up to 77,000 tons of nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain, about 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas.

On Monday, the veto was delivered to both houses of Congress, which plans to vote on whether to override Guinn's actions and make its decision before August.
