Mobile Screening System Erin Systems The Fingerscreen 165T from Erin Systems Inc., Portland, Maine, is designed for construction and demolition (C&D) recycling, landfill mining, wood waste and contaminated soils. It is a heavy duty, track-mounted mobile screening system that is controlled remotely and sets up in less than 10 minutes, according to the company. The direct feed screen box is 16 feet long by 5 feet wide.

Waste Handling Technology Fibres International Fibres International, Wilsonville, Ore., has released e-pactor, a bi-directional device designed to mount onto a compactor. It uses the Internet and cellular control channels to transmit information to a user when the compactor is nearly full, arranges for a pickup with a hauler, deals with track maintenance issues and sends notifications about potential safety hazards.

Backhoe Loader Caterpillar Inc. The new 416D backhoe loader from Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., is designed for rental fleets and governmental applications. It offers 74 net horsepower (hp) and a 14-foot, 5-inch digging depth with a standard stick. It also offers an 18-foot, 1-inch digging depth with an extendible stick. Features include 205-degree rotation of the backhoe bucket linkage to dig vertical walls and clamp material for truck loading, and load-sensing hydraulics. There are four speeds forward and reverse, and top travel speed is 20.4 miles per hour (mph).

Dump Trailer East The 39-foot, frameless dump trailer from East Manufacturing Corp., Randolph, Ohio, is made from aluminum alloy and can haul up to 27 tons of payload per trip, according to the company. It has a 9,700-pound frameless body that can be fitted with an optional swing gate for open top, forklift loading. The trailer's design has a low center of gravity for dumping stability, the company says. It also has air ride suspension and aluminum disc wheels.

Horizontal Grinder DuraTech DuraTech Industries, Jamestown, N.D., has introduced model 410 to its line of Grindmaster ram-fed horizontal grinders. Designed to reduce the size and volume of material that goes into landfills, model 410 runs on a 300-hp John Deere engine, has a 4-foot by 10-foot hopper, a 38-inch diameter hydraulically driven reversible drum and a 48-inch-wide unloading conveyor. It grinds asphalt, C&D waste, shingles, stumps, logs and pallets. Features include an enclosed cab with a noise dampening design and replaceable bits with several screens and bit options.

Wireless Data Solution Mobile Computing Mobile Computing Corp., Mississauga, Ontario, has announced its integrated wireless data unit, m-Linx Mobile Worker. It is an in-vehicle integrated wireless device with software and communications abilities designed for mobile workforces. It uses a vehicle-based wireless radio and can be used alone or with legacy systems.

Pipe Fuser McElroy Manufacturing McElroy Manufacturing Inc., Tulsa, Okla., has added two products to its TracStar product line - the TracStar No. 412 for 4-inch IPS to 12-inch DIPS (110 mm - 340 mm) and the TracStar No. 28 for 2-inch IPS to 8-inch DIPS (63 mm - 225 mm). Both are designed to fuse polyethylene pipe. Features include a centerline guidance system; self-contained hydraulic and electrical power; and self-propelled rubber tracks with independent track controls.
