Washington — The National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA), Washington, has launched a weekly e-mail newsletter that focuses on safety issues. The newsletter will be issued each Monday, and is called NSWMA Safety Monday. The first two issues have examined NSWMA’s new safety video and a recent fatality in Illinois.

“Each week, NSWMA Safety Monday will provide useful and important information to help solid waste companies and employees reduce fatalities, accidents and injuries,” says Bruce Parker, president and CEO of NSWMA. “The newsletter will provide best management practices, accident reports, safety alerts, OSHA inspection data, updates on NSWMA safety programs and other valuable information.”
