Ohio's Trash Is More Than 40 Percent Paper

Columbus, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has released a study that shows 42 percent of the garbage that is disposed of in the state’s landfills is, by weight, some type of paper. The DNR’s report adds that approximately 60 percent of what the state’s residents put in their trash is material that can be recycled. For more information, visit www.dnr.state.oh.us.
