Peacock Becomes EPA Deputy Administrator

Marcus Peacock will be the new deputy administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Washington. Peacock was confirmed by the Senate on Thursday. Peacock comes to the agency from the Office of Management and Budget, where he served as associate director for Natural Resources, Energy and Science.
“[Peacock’s] capable leadership will reinforce the agency’s commitments to the sound science that provides the American people with lasting results,” EPA Administrator Steve Johnson said in a statement. “I look forward to working together as the agency continues to fulfill its mission of improving the nation ’s environment and protecting public health.”
