Harrisburg, Pa. -- Rep. Carole Rubley announced this week that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has awarded grants totaling $309,778 to Schuylkill Township and Tredyffrin Township. DEP awarded the grants as part of its Recycling Performance Grant Program, which was established in 1988 to aid communities in increasing their recycling rates. Pennsylvania’s current recycling goal is 35 percent.
