ACS Group

ACS Group, Wood Dale, Ill., produces the F615 two-shaft shredder. The unit offers 15 horsepower (hp) direct, electric drive and weighs 3,145 pounds. According to the company, features include 57 blades, a contoured chamber, oil-bath lubrication, through-tempered cutters, hexagonal shaft design and touch-pad controls. Production rates average between 900 and 1,400 pounds per hour, the company says.

American Pulverizer Co., St. Louis, Mo., has introduced the DRBS-50×60 heavy-duty Block Breaker for processing engines and transmissions. According to the company, the Breaker is designed to handle high production rates and to automatically separate iron and aluminum materials. The slow speed, high torque unit comes with a 75 hp to 100 hp hydraulic or electrical drive package. Other features include an auto-reverse cycle and replaceable cast alloy steel cutters.

Ameri-Shred, Monroeville, Pa., produces the AMS-15000, a 150-hp hopper-fed paper shredder. The product comes with replaceable cutter hooks to rip and tear paper prior to shredding, according to the company. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) auto-eye allows for a control-based master start and stop conveyor operation to regulate the amount of paper entering the system. The product also comes with a metal detection system.

The ZTLL 100 weighs more than 35 tons and uses a solid steel rotor equipped with the company's cutting tool/anvil system, which can grind more than 10 tons per hour, depending on the choice of classifying screen sizes, the company says. Morbark Inc., Winn, Mich., has introduced the Predator twin-rotor unit for processing C&D debris, railroad ties and other contaminated waste streams that are unsuitable for high-speed grinding, according to the company. A 64-inch by 76-inch shredder opening feeds material to a 15-inch diameter counter-meshing rotor. Hooked star shredders are mounted to the rotor in a spiral pattern. The unit features welded construction, hydraulic drive, an electronically controlled auto-reversing rotor system and a 48-inch-wide continuous belt discharge conveyor, the company says.

SSI Shredding Systems Inc., Wilsonville, Ore., has introduced the Primary Waste Reducer line of hydraulic shredders for high-capacity volume reduction. Shredders process materials such as C&D debris, carpet, wood waste, yard debris, MSW and industrial waste up to 80 tph and can achieve up to 70 percent volume reduction, the company says. The unit's open grate design allows fines, such as rock and dirt, to fall through the cutting table without causing wear on the cutters, according to the company. The Primary Waste Reducer line is available in stationary and mobile configurations, and with one or two shafts.

The machine will accept pallet metal, but magnetic separation is available for removing ferrous metals, according to the company.
