Recycle America Alliance To Acquire Quality Paper

Los Angeles -- Recycle America Alliance, a subsidiary of Waste Management Inc. (WM), has signed an agreement to acquire the group of Quality Paper facilities. Quality Paper is one of the largest paper and fiber recyclers in Southern California and handles more than 1,200 tons of recyclables per day in the greater Los Angeles Basin, according to the company. Through the acquisition, WM plans to invest more than $12 million to modernize the facilities and improve efficiency. The acquisition is scheduled to close at the end of 2004.
