SWANA accepting award nominations

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is seeking nominees for its Excellence Awards Program, which recognizes programs or facilities that demonstrate outstanding achievements in various segments of the solid waste industry. Winners will be recognized on Oct. 18 at a special luncheon during WASTECON 2007 in Reno, Nev. Awards are presented in 13 categories:

Communications

Composting

Landfill Management

Landfill Gas Control

Landfill Gas Utilization

Marketing

Public Education

Recycling

Solid Waste Management

Special Waste

Transfer Station

Waste-to-Energy
