SWANA Names Vice Director of WTE Division

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Md., has appointed Joe Murdoch as vice director of its Waste-to-Energy Technical Division. Murdoch is senior vice president of HDR, a White Plains, N.Y.-based engineering and consulting firm.

Murdoch agreed to a 6-year commitment in which he will boost awareness of key issues related to waste-to-energy projects. In two years, he will become director of the division. Two years later, he will serve as past director for the remainder of his commitment.
