Waste Management, Houston, has announced its role as a charter member of the U.S. Conference of Mayor’s Climate Protection Council, which will capitalize on the relationships between local elected officials and business leaders to promote green projects. Other charter members include the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, the American Chemistry Council, DuPont, Johnson Controls, TCP and Wal-Mart.
