Waste Pro today announced a deal to employ technology developed by Shelton, Conn.-based Oil Purification Systems (OPS) on its fleet of more than 800 collection vehicles. The Longwood, Fla.-based waste and recycling company will install the OPS-1 on-board fluid cleaning system in phases at its 31 locations across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

"By implementing the OPS-1 system on our fleet, we will be able to increase our equipment uptime with fewer oil changes, and also do our part to protect the environment by decreasing our waste oil,” said John Jennings, CEO of Waste Pro, in a press release. “This is something that will not only benefit our company by lowering costs, but will also help us better serve our customers."
