Newly appointed Commissioner of the Streets Department Carlton Williams says residents can do their part by waiting to put their trash outside until collections start up again or until the snow is cleared.

The co-president of the Sharswood/Brewerytown Community Civic Association and former Philadelphia Housing Authority and Philadelphia Schools employee has lived here for nearly 50 years with his wife, Sheila, who serves as its block captain.
