The City of Jacksonville, Fla., recently made updates to its residential curbside recycling rules. As part of the new rules, the city will no longer accept plastic garbage, grocery and sandwich bags, Styrofoam, takeout food containers, plastic cutlery, hangers, shredded paper, cables and wires and aerosol cans.
The city sent out flyers to inform residents of the changes and where they can recycle items like clean plastic bags and empty aerosol cans.

Duval County residents should be aware of some new changes for curbside recycling.
The City of Jacksonville sent out flyers to notify people of the changes, but some are still are still confused, and have even written the City Council for clarification on the new rules.
