180,000 tonnes of PV solar panels are expected to enter Victoria Australia's waste streams. The state will be putting $10 million towards funding solar panel end-of-life programs.

My 2035 Victoria, Australia is expecting 180,000 tonnes of PV solar panels to enter its waste streams. With this projection in sight, the state has decided to put $10 million towards a program that will help alleviate this expected waste increase. The program will aim to recover as much material from these panels as possible. Solar panel recyclers and innovators can apply for funding through Breakthrough Victoria’s official Challenge page.
