Marion County, W. Va., Recycling Centers Overwhelmed With Materials

Recycling is still a work in progress in many parts of West Virginia but one county is making it easier for people to do their part.

Right now, the Marion County Solid Waste Authority is overflowing.

"Recycling is big in Marion County right now. We're struggling to keep up actually," said Bobbi Benson, Executive Director of the MCSWA.

That is because this is where all recycled materials go for the whole county. People can drop off recyclables at sites like the location in Worthington. Eight more facilities are located throughout Marion County, but curbside pickup is only available within Fairmont city limits.
