Richmond, Va., is upgrading its recycling carts from 95 gallon cans from its previous 18-gallon options.

NBC12.com has the details:

You may have noticed some new green and blue carts popping up around Richmond. If you live in a house or an apartment complex with four or fewer units, you'll soon be getting one of your own.

The city began a limited release of its new recycling containers back in January, and on Wednesday announced that it will soon begin a large-scale delivery to the rest of the city.

The carts are much larger than the green bins currently in use; 95 gallons compared to just 18 gallons. This will allow people to recycle much more than they have before.
