Glasgow, Ky., Passes New Trash Collection Ordinance

The Glasgow, Ky., City Council passed a new trash collection ordinance that outlines when residents can set out their carts and when they need to collect them.

The ordinance declares that carts must be set at the curb no later than 7 a.m. CT the day of pickup and no earlier than the day before, according to WCLU Radio. The ordinance contained an amendment to work better with residents’ schedules, the report noted.

And while there are several other aspects of the ordinance, the City Council was mainly focused on issues around placing carts at the curb.

The Glasgow City Council voted Monday to amend an ordinance relating to garbage collection rules and regulations.

In the new ordinance a few rules are outlined such as when citizens can set their carts out and when they need to collect them.

According to Section No. 2, part B of the ordinance, carts must be at the curb side no later than 7 a.m. the day of collection and no earlier than the day before.
