NWRA Praises Patagonia for Swift Removal of Illegal Cycling Image
The image on Patagonia’s website was of a cyclist hanging onto the back of a moving collection truck on the streets of New York City.
The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) praised Patagonia, the outdoor apparel and equipment company, for taking swift action to remove an image of a cyclist hanging onto the back of a moving collection truck on the streets of New York City.
“Our member companies work hard every day to ensure their employees operate in the safest manner. That’s why when we see unsafe behavior, either in our industry or not, we act to correct it. Earlier this week, we became aware of an unsafe image of a cyclist hanging on the back of a moving collection vehicle on Patagonia’s website. We alerted them of our concerns, which they quickly addressed. We applaud Patagonia for their responsiveness and support for our efforts to address safety,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith in a statement.
