ICE Recycling LLC is expanding its recycling operations with a new facility in Lake City, S.C.

The company, headquartered in Lake City, purchased a 200,000-sq.-ft. facility that nearly doubles its space. It increases the firm’s recycling capacity and frees up processing space at its headquarters facility. The expansion will create 15 jobs, according to a news release from the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

ICE Recycling serves industrial plants in the mid-Atlantic states, specializing in on-site recycling and compactor elimination.

“We are excited about expanding our capabilities and aggressively growing our customer base,” said owners Butch Crawford and Larry Gay Jr.

The South Carolina Department of Commerce said it has recruited more than $790 million in capital investment and more than 1,500 new jobs in the recycling-related sector since the beginning of 2011.
