NAPCOR Welcomes New Executive Director

The National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) announced the recent hire of Darrel Collier as its new executive director, effective April 1, 2019.

Collier replaces outgoing Executive Director Rick Moore, who has been in the role since October 2013. Moore will stay on through the end of April to ensure a smooth transition for NAPCOR members.

Collier comes to NAPCOR with 40 years of experience in the synthetic fibers and PET packaging industries, most recently covering global PET markets for London-based consulting firm Tecnon Orbichem. Collier is also a partner and managing director for International Market Solutions.

Prior to his consulting career, Collier worked 25 years for DuPont, serving in various positions including global product director and regional sales director. Collier brings a global perspective to the organization with an understanding of all major PET markets, according to the company.

“Darrel brings our organization strong leadership as we look to continue to develop and grow the PET agenda,” said Tom Busard, chairman of NAPCOR, chief procurement officer for Plastipak Packaging and president of Clean Tech, Plastipak’s recycling affiliate, in a statement. “We are pleased to have him on board early in the year to begin working on our 2019 agenda.”
