Houston -- Waste Management Inc.'s board of directors unanimously voted to fire Chicago-based Arthur Andersen LLP and hire London-based Ernst &Young LLP as its new auditor. Andersen has been fighting to clear its name in the Houston-based Enron Corp. collapse but recently was indicted on a charge of obstruction of justice for shredding Enron documents.
