Waste Connections’ Earnings Increasing

Folsom, Calif. -- Waste Connections Inc. has announced its first quarter earnings for the first quarter of 2004 increased 16.2 percent to $149.3 million from $128.5 million in first quarter 2003. Operating income of $35.2 million for first quarter 2004 increased 12.4 percent from 2003’s first quarter operating income of $ 33.2 million. The company has reported net income for the first quarter of 2004 at $16.2 million, up from $14.4 million in first quarter 2003.
