AF&PA Announces 2005 Recycling Award Winners
Washington — The American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA), Washington, has announced the winners of its 2005 AF&PA Recycling Awards. The recipient of the Ed Hurley Memorial Paper Recycling Award, which recognizes an individual who has had a significant influence by advocating paper recycling, is Judge Jack Jones of Jefferson County, Ark.
The winners of the Business Leadership Paper Recycling Awards, which recognize outstanding business recycling programs, are Sussex, Wis.-based Quad/Graphics and St. Paul, Minn.-based Eureka Recycling. The recipients of the Community Paper Recycling Awards, which recognize communities that have successfully implemented paper recovery and recycling programs, are the Clearwater, Fla., Solid Waste and Recycling Department and the Oconee County, S.C., Solid Waste Department.
