Contamination has caused the Boone County Solid Waste committee to pause Ashland, Mo.'s recycling program.
In a Facebook post, the Ashland officials said that the county removed the city's sole recycling bin. The municipality's website lists acceptable materials. Boone County said it discovered "illegal" materials in the bin, prompting the removal.
