The National Recycling Coalition (NRC) has teamed with Coca-Cola for a recycling bin grant program designed to promote and support community recycling. Grant recipients will be provided with needed recycling bins as well as guidance from NRC on how to set up their individual programs. The grants will be provided for bins at sporting events, music venues, parks, schools and commercial locations across the country.

Kate Krebs, executive director of NRC, says her organization receives numerous requests every day for recycling bins, and that this program is very innovative because, “there isn't a place where folks can go to give capital investment funds for bins.”

The program is part of Coca-Cola's $60 million investment to implement recycling programs and initiatives throughout the country.

Applications can be found on the NRC's Web site at http://www.bingrant.org.
