Waste Connections and Denison, Texas are nearing the end of a five-year contract for the city's recycling program.
What will happen to recycling once the contract ends is unclear. Some officials want to continue residential curbside pickup while others want to scrap the program altogether.
Denison plans additional education programs around recycling to further educate residents.
