October 7, 2021

With so much misinformation available about what can and can't be recycled, consistency is key to reducing contamination and creating an effective local solid waste program.

On this week's episode of Stef Talks Trash, Editorial Director Stefanie Valentic speaks with Irene Alonso, community programs manager, Orange County, Calif. Waste & Recycling and Yarib Dheming, outreach manager, Inside the Outdoors - Orange County Department of Education.

The Orange County Waste and Recycling Department and the Orange County Department of Education have teamed up to engage and educate young learners about how to adopt sustainable behaviors.

The program will provide local educators with educational materials that support classroom lessons, student engagement and family activities connected to Orange County’s waste diversion efforts.
