Fairport Giveaway Puts Items in Students' Hands Instead of in Landfill

At the end of last school year, Fairport Central School District in New York collected lightly used school supplies from students.

Accepting a majority of products, the school district collected these items instead of allowing them to get thrown out. As a new school year comes rolling in, the district is now providing these items to students in need. The program will host a time for students to come to get these supplies.
