Hillsborough County, FL is Educating Residents to Reduce Plastic Pollution

Plastic can be found littered in our oceans, rivers, and creeks. From plastics to micro-plastics the bottles, plastic bags and small fragments are trashing our environment.

No one wants to see the waterways littered with plastic when they are swimming, fishing or kayaking. The city of Hillsborough County, FL believes that to stop the plastic pollution everyone can make a difference. They have created three ways residents can help: join Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and get involved at any of their cleanup events; don’t litter and recycle correctly; and sign up at ReduceYourUseTampaBay.org to commit to reduce single-use plastic consumption.
