International Recycling Group Moves on Plastics Recycling Facility in Erie

The first steps have been taken to build the largest plastics recycling facility in Erie, Pa. Internation Recycling Group completed the purchase of a formal Hammermill Paper site for the facility.
The land on which the plant will be constructed is located on a federal Opportunity Zone which offers a set of special tax incentives. The facility already has more than $9 million in investments.
The project is expected to cost $100 million and generate 50 jobs for the area.
