ISRI, the Voice of the Recycling Industry™, is marking America Recycles Day by celebrating the major impact recycled materials have on our daily lives, while helping make supply chains more sustainable. To tell this story, ISRI also developed a video that shows how recycled materials are so important to our life.
“Recycling is a daily win for our sustainable supply chain, environment and our future,” said ISRI President Robin Wiener. “If you pause and think, it’s easy to see benefits from recycled materials – in everything from farms to hospitals, schools to highways constructed or supplied with things made from recycled materials like metals, plastics, rubber and paper.”
The recycled materials industry is innovating and working with customers and communities to recycle even more materials.
“Every new manufactured product made from recycled materials makes the supply chain more secure by providing a renewable source of raw materials,” Wiener said. “That’s why we are also partnering with consumer brands and other manufacturers to help them recycle more, use more recycled materials in their products and design their products to be recycled more easily.” .
From steel, aluminum and copper to recycled electronics, plastics and paper, the recycled materials industry plays a critical role in our supply chains that deliver what we need each and every day. Get more information here on recycling’s role in a sustainable supply chain.
