Machines Exchange Recyclables for Prizes at MLB Stadium

National Park stadium adds a recycling machine that trades recyclables for prizes. The contraption collects cans and plastic cups from patrons of the stadium and gives them a code that makes them eligible to win prizes.

The stadium installed two of these machines and will be giving out prizes as large as two tickets to future Washington Nationals games. It is hoped this will help game-goers stay motivated to keep the facility clean and recycle their waste.
