North Dakota Landfill OK'd for Radioactive Oilfield Waste

A landfill near Williston, North Dakota becomes the first in the state to be approved to accept radioactive waste generated from the production of oil. The state approval allows the landfill company to accept 25,000 tons of radioactive oilfield waste, but first, they must complete the appropriate facility. This investment will cost the company a $1.125 million bond.

Critics of the proposition aren't sure if the proposition's benefits outway its possible shortcomings.
