NWRA Promotes Three, Expands Responsibilities for Two
The promotions aim to help NWRA better serve its members.

Darrell Smith, president and CEO of the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), promoted three staff members and expanded the responsibilities of two more to better serve the association’s members.
“We have talented staff, and I am pleased to announce the promotion of three staff members and the expansion of responsibilities of two more,” said Smith in a statement. “NWRA is committed to providing our members with the tools and information necessary to thrive.”
Gabrielle McManus has been promoted to human resources director and executive support to the chief executive officer.
Jonathan Taylor will now serve as manager of government affairs for the Sunbelt Region. The addition of the Sunbelt Region to Taylor’s portfolio will allow him to help Vice President for State Affairs Abby Blocker manage the expansive region’s chapters that stretch from coast to coast.
Teddy Greissing was promoted to manager of government affairs and NWRA political action committee (PAC). Greissing adds NWRA’s PAC to his responsibilities, an area with which he has previous experience, as the association seeks to further grow its PAC and help the industry punch above its weight politically.
Brandon Wright, vice president for communications and media relations, will lead the Maryland chapter, while Steve Changaris, vice president of the Northeast Region, will add Pennsylvania to his portfolio.
