Oregon State University Spearheads More Efficient Plastic Recycling Technology

Oregon State University and the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory are working together to develop a new recycling process.

Oregon State University is pioneering a new method for recycling plastic alongside the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The new process for recycling involves mixing all plastics together to create a new, more universal kind of plastic. The developing process will eliminate many of the complications associated with the sorting of recycled plastics. It would also allow more plastics to be recycled.
