RBRC sees increase in recycling and participation

The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC), Atlanta, announced that it collected nearly 5 million pounds of rechargeable batteries in the U.S. and Canada in 2005, an increase of 10 percent from the previous year. According to a press release, the non-profit organization saw an increase in businesses, retailers, communities and recycling programs interested in setting up recycling drop-off sites for rechargeable batteries and cell phones.
