Rumpke Recycling and the Clinton County Solid Waste Management District in Ohio are partnering with Hefty to launch a new program in the county to keep hard-to-recycle plastics out of landfills.

Hefty’s ReNew program will complement current recycling initiatives while targeting chip bags, foam egg cartons, plastic bags, bubble wrap, and more.

“This program will help those recyclers who want to go the extra mile to recycle more of the stuff we told you not to put with your recycling,” said Jeff Walls, coordinator of the Clinton County Solid Waste Management District.

The program will start this month. Residents will need to purchase the special Hefty ReNew orange bags and fill them with acceptable plastics to be recycled.
