Shell Acquires Southeast Asian Oil Waste Oil Recycling Company

Shell has acquired EcoOils, a company responsible for using recycling technology to produce spent bleaching earth oil that can be used for aviation and transportation.

A waste oil recycling firm in Southeast Asia has been acquired by Shell Eastern Petroleum. The company is called EcoOils and uses recycling technology to produce spent bleaching earth oil, diverting waste from landfills in the process. This is one decision made by Shell in its steps toward providing low-carbon energy solutions for customers.

"By 2030 Shell aims to have at least 10% of its global aviation fuel sales as sustainable aviation fuel."
