Vestas Seeks to Recycle Wind Turbines with New Chemical Process

Vestas has developed a new chemical process to recycle wind turbines.

About 25,000 tonnes of turbine blades will take taken out of use by 2025, and that could rise to 52,000 tonnes by 2030. Blade materials would be able to disassembled and reused.

The process breaks down epoxy resin. The company is now working to establish a value chain.
