Seattle -- To enhance recycling efforts, Seattle is selling food composters and yard waste compost bins to residents in March. The city, which has set a recycling goal of 60 percent of all city waste, wants to promote backyard composting as an inexpensive diversion method. Residents may purchase green cones and bins at a discount through March 24.
