Jake Swenson is director of sustainability at Staples, where he leads efforts to ensure Staples customers can choose from a large assortment of eco-responsible products and services to run their businesses and home offices. Jake also oversees Staples retail electronics recycling program and sustainability impact reporting, among other programs.

Jake has worked for Staples for 12 years in both sustainability and corporate responsibility roles. Prior to joining Staples, Jake worked in environmental consulting, where he focused on environmental policy analysis and program management for federal agencies, including U.S. EPA. Jake has an MBA and an MS in Environmental Policy from the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan. He received his BA in Politics from Princeton University.
