New York may not be the “Show-Me” state, but its residents now can show their support for state recycling programs with the “New York Recycles” custom license plate. State Commissioner of Motor Vehicles Raymond P. Martinez unveiled the plate at the annual spring conference and trade show for the Federation of New York Solid Waste Associations in May. Anyone owning a New York registered passenger or commercial vehicle can order the plate for $43 with a $25 annual renewal fee at DMV issuing offices, online at www.nysdmv.com or by calling (800) 364-7528. Personalized plates cost $68 with a $50 annual renewal fee.
