Waste Pro has announced that the company has entered an exclusive partnership with the University of Central Florida (UCF) to manage all solid waste and recycling services across the university’s campus.

This exclusive partnership is a significant collaboration between one of the largest universities in the United States and one of the waste industries' leading waste management providers. The agreement will see Waste Pro be the sole service provider for all services on campus for the next seven years with options for renewal.

In celebration of the partnership, Waste Pro will hit the streets with a custom-wrapped front-end loader truck, featuring the UFC Knights and the school’s The Kingdom NIL branding. The truck will be seen on UCF’s campus as well as commercial customers with the Orlando metro area.

“Waste Pro is excited to unveil the new truck with custom branding. This might be the coolest truck graphics I have encountered during my years in the industry. It is a fun and unique way to utilize our moving billboards (collection trucks) to showcase community partnerships throughout our footprint,” said Erik Sankey, Regional Vice President of Waste Pro.

UCF is the largest university in Florida with more than 69,000 students. With that many students and a large campus to take care of, it’s important to have a strong relationship with a dedicated waste management provider. Waste Pro, headquartered in Longwood, Fl. (25 minutes from Orlando), has direct ties to the school with many of its employees and extended family members attending and graduating from UCF.

Schools across the country are making waves in sustainability and waste management with new partnerships. From smart bins popping up on campuses to help students recycle, to sporting events bringing in reusable cups to cut down on plastic waste. The partnership between Waste Pro and UCF ensures that leading industry service will help bring the school closer to its own sustainability goals while Waste Pro maintains its commitment to serving the company’s established community.
