NWRA Receives Clean 2020 Financial Audit
August 10, 2021
Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) completed its 2020 financial audit. Its auditors, Marcum, LLP, found no issues and gave NWRA a clean audit.
“In our opinion, the financial statements referred to present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the National Waste & Recycling Association as of December 31, 2020 and 2019, and the changes in its net assets and its cash flows for the years then ended in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America,” stated Marcum.
“At NWRA, over the past few years, we have made major strides in improving the transparency of our financial reporting,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “Few trade associations are willing to publicly draw attention to their financial information. As a nonprofit, we have a duty to be honest and transparent. In keeping with this commitment, we are releasing a copy of our full 2020 audit.”
