Valet Waste has named a new chairman and a new CEO.

The Tampa, Fla.-based waste and recycling firm specializing in multifamily dwellings appointed Michael Ferris as chairman and Shawn Handrahan as CEO effective January 2, the company said in a news release.

Ferris founded Valet Waste 26 years ago and has since served as its CEO.  Handrahan joined Valet Waste in 2012, after working more than a decade in the multifamily industry with HD Supply Facilities Maintenance. While at HD Supply he held various leadership roles, most recently as vice president – multifamily.

Valet Waste is a national service provider with operations in 27 states and more than 1,500 employees.

"I am honored to accept the appointment of chairman and look forward to working more closely with our customers and our industry's leaders as Valet continues setting the bar for service excellence," Ferris said.
