Henrico County, Va., and the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA), Richmond, Va., have expanded their single-stream curbside recycling service to include approximately 83,000 of the county’s single-family homes.

The service, which is free to residents, is provided every two weeks and recycles more than 1,000 tons of material each month, according to the county.

CVWMA coordinates recycling and waste management services for 13 local jurisdictions and has diverted more than 30,000 tons of recyclables from areas waste stream over the past year.
